About me

What do I do for a living?

Hello, my name is Tom. Professionally, I am designing and creating technical documentations for various types of mechanical devices.

What am I interested in?

Creating, 3D printing, programming, car mechanics, finding and fixing faults are areas that interest me and I like to improve in them.

3D printing

Physical creation of the designed device. In this matter, having a 3D printer is an invaluable solution for home conditions. It gives great technical development opportunities and sometimes teaches patience 🙂

Currently, I have a Creality Ender 3 Pro printer, which helps me with conceptual work, making new or replacing damaged elements, as also producing decorative elements and toys.

Creating computer programs and applications. It was something that always fascinated me but I didn’t know how to do it. At first, the Java language was on my target. I have learned the basics, but it was not enough to create my own project.

The breakthrough in my studies came in 2016, when I joined the course and a quite different direction of learning was chosen.

  1. My programming adventure started with learning structured C++ and then Object Oriented C++, as also techniques used in programming. This was a stable ground for learning another programming languages.
  2. Web languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and MySQL. The result of my studies was a development of a personal finance management application – “SOSiK”.
  3. Java. While the self-study of this language was not very fruitful I learned a lot more at this course. It allowed me to write my own application – “Weather station”.
  4. Creating websites in WordPress. Knowledge of web languages allowed me to more effectively use the capabilities of this system when creating my own website.
